Happy St. Patrick's Day

Conor had fun on his first St Patrick's day as you can see, he found some clover to roll in! He thinks they are shamrocks, well, it is pretty close for him!
Check out the jigging pets on the right. The beagle is my best friend's dog, Rascal. The bird, is my dearly departed parakeet, Sydnee.
Have a safe and happy St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day is approaching

No tatting today, we took pictures for St. Patrick's Day. Oh that rhymed!
Here is Rebel and Conor having a great time singing... there are more photos on It's a Leprechauns Life page...(see link at side)

Tatting Ornaments

Here is what I did today. I wanted a tatting related ornament, that wasn't exactly tatted, so I sculpted my pup, Rebel, and a little Bat, and made them little tatting shuttles to hold. Then I made a large shuttle out of styrofoam and glittered it, (you can see the Bat's isn't quite dry yet). I tatted a little motif for each and attached it. Now, I have my pup tatting ornament and a little Bat tatter. I just love them. What do you think?
I am thinking of making some more to sell. But without Rebel, maybe a kitten or a different pup? on top.

Haunted Drawing

ok, so, here is the rather sketchy drawing I did of what my Haunted house should look like. There were several thoughts besides this on the paper, but I cropped them out. It was hard to see the actual drawing there was so much writing of ideas on the paper. Gina saw this at our lunch, but I did add more written ideas later. There will be some surprises still! This is how most of my ideas start, a REALLY cruddy drawing jotted down on notebook paper. But, you can get the gist of what it will look like. That is, if I don't change something as I go. I finished tatting the tree for the graveyard tonight, and I have to figure out how to stiffen it enough to hold up the limbs. I may end up having to hide some wire in them somehow. But I do like the look of the tree. I used a variegated honey brown, and it looks pretty woody. Next, I may do the bell tower...
