Fair musings, and Week 17 Snow Angel 2 for April 29

Here is the revised Snow Angel. She has 6 "points" instead of the 7 the other one had, like a real
snowflake.
I have finished the Snow Bear, but you will have to wait until next week to see him!!
I really have nothing to go into the fair this year! I have been looking in my computer for something 'fabulous' to make.  I am thinking of a 3d Santa.. ala Jane E's Fairy girl. Someone had a picture posted of one they did, sorry I don't remember who, and it was very cool.
Also, a necklace I saw somewhere..well, it was for sale, but I reverse engineered it for myself, as I couldn't afford it anyway. Of course, I would never sell it or the pattern I figured out, but it was pretty, so, maybe it will go into the fair. Also, and this would have to be for next year... I am itching to do another GIGANTIC project in the line of my Gingerbread house and Haunted house.  I have a couple of thoughts, but nothing pinned down yet. If anyone has any great ideas.. let me know!

Week 16 Snow Angel!

Ok, I had this idea the first thing in my head when I woke up this morning. I call her 'Snow Angel', as she is supposed to look like an angel snowflake. This was my first attempt at making her. I will make some more of her, to tweek the pattern.  I also thought of (as I was scribbling out a picture of her to do), a snow dog, snow cat, snow bunny, a snow bear and, mostly for myself, a snow bat!!  Now to just design them!  Enjoy the Snow Angel

Week 15 Ornament Challenge and April 15 TAX DAY

Hi Everyone,
It is tax day, hope you all have your taxes in! I piddled around and finally sent them in a couple of days ago. Usually I do it rather early, but... I guess I am getting lazy in my old age.
Here is the Christmas ornament for this week, a Candy Cane. This is a different one than the last one. The pattern is from an old Workbasket magazine, but still one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Christmas Ornament for week 14 ring with charm

Hi! This is a simple little ornament I created tatting onto a bracelet. I got... oh, a ton... of these gold bracelets at a Halloween shop for $4. They called them pirate gold.. but I wanted them to tat onto. I had a bunch of these little plastic snowflakes too, so 1+1= tatted ornament!
Hope you like it. I actually made a couple more, 'cos they are quite shiny in the light of day, and I think they will look neat on the tree.

.................I won!

Hey everyone! You know all those blog anniversary contests we enter and never win.. well, I actually won one! Actually, it was a Birthday giveaway over on Aileen's Wicked Tats, and I just got my prize!
Look... it is a lot of pretty beads in blues and hot pink, cabone rings to tat on, and a neat assortment of buttons. I really LOVE the coconut buttons, by the way, so cool!
Thanks so much Aileen!!!

..................Happy International Tat Day!

Today, April 1, is not only April Fool's day, it is more importantly International Tat Day! A day for tatting, and eating chocolate! Well, today, I have done both. I got up this morning and had a thought, then the thought turned into a vision in my mind.. then it had to come out in tatting.. and here it is.
The newest member of the leprechaun family... Baby Talun! As you can see, Conor found him in the Easter decorations! What a surprise! Rory was so happy, just look at his face!  Talun is in his pastel green swaddling blankie, with a shamrock on it.  The lads were so happy to see him, they took turns holding him..
Then, finally they decided to pose for a family photo.  Such a wonderful Tat day gift!
oh, they just reminded me to show this week's Christmas Challenge ornament.
I call it the Heartfelt tree...full of dimpled (heart) rings.
