Ok.. so, this first picture is my renditon of North and South America in tatting. I tacked them down to fabric and attached to a hoop to make it easier to do the fill in later.
Then, when I actually started the mignonette fill in..(light blue for the gulf, and the rest in navy) I found it much easier to take it off of the hoop. Eventually, and hopefully, it will be round. Then the plan is to add edging rows for 'space' (in a very dark blue or black) and put in little planets and stars here and there. The Enterprise will be added over the Earth to simulate orbit.
