I just finished my newest project :The Egyptian Scarab Necklace. I have had a photo of a statue like this for a very long time, and, thought just a couple of days ago, 'that would make a neat necklace'. So, that is what I made. Like it? I really like it. It is done in DMC 8 and some Metallic threads I had to separate. I also added a few beads for effect. My sister, before it was even finished, told me she wanted to borrow it! Well, first, it goes in the fair. I still have to block it a little, but I am very pleased with the way it came out. How 'bout you?P.S. Thanks, Gina for the info on how to do the chain!

Thanks! I did change the colors slightly, as I wanted to use the purple "jewels". But it mostly looks like the photo I had.

Very beautiful necklace Carol. I also love Egyptian things. I especially love watching on tv anything that has to do with Egypt. That is so colorful. I bet you could do an Isis really easy too. What do you think?
